Ulladulla is named from the aboriginal word Nulladulla, which means "safe harbour". Fishing is an important industry for the town.
In Ulladulla's CBD you will find all the facilities and services you might need during your visit, including shops and supermarkets, banks, real estate agents and a wide variety of accommodation and restaurants.
The Marlin Hotel with its huge fluorescent marlin on the roof, can be seen clearly from the ocean and is one of the town’s most famous landmarks.
Things to do in Ulladulla include walking trails to the South Pacific Heathland Reserve and Warden Head Lighthouse and the Coomee Nulunga Cultural Trail. There are also a number of local fishing charter operators, giving you the opportunity to try your hand at the town’s number one activity, deep-sea fishing. If you’d prefer to just sample the local catches, there is an excellent fish market on the wharf.
Ulladulla is also home to NSW’s largest indoor entertainment centre, Funland - which children are sure to enjoy - and a large and modern skate park.
