Mollymook restaurants

Mollymook and the surrounding area offers a range of excellent restaurants and cafes, with something to cater to every taste and budget. Whether you are after fresh fish, Thai, contemporary Australian, Italian or a good old-fashioned burger, you’ll be sure to find it in this up-and-coming culinary hotspot.

Rick Stein’s restaurant at Bannisters hotel, Bannisters Point, is the area’s most sought-after eatery. The world-famous British ‘seafood king’ has recently taken over the award-winning restaurant, which offers simple yet elegant food using the region’s freshest fish and seafood. Not only can you enjoy fine food here, but the wine cellar is one of the area’s most impressive and the views are exceptional.

At the southern end of Mollymook beach, good food is available at both clubhouses attached to Mollymook Golf Club and the Surf Lifesaving club also offers simple but hearty meals.

There are many cafes to choose from which enjoy ocean views, such as Breakers Café and Restaurant, which overlooks the beach and serves freshly prepared breakfast and lunch daily and evening meals on Fridays and Saturdays.

For something a little different, check out Mollymook Rockgrill – billed as “an exciting interactive dining experience” where your meal is cooked at your table, on a heated volcanic stone. The super-hot heat of the stone seals in all the natural juices and gives the food a special, stone-cooked flavour. It is widely recognised as a healthy eating option as the meats are trimmed of all fat and no oils are added. The restaurant is part of the Seascape Motel, located on the Princes Highway.

Elizans in Ulladulla offers fine French food, where customers can enjoy the sophisticated ambience surrounded by antique furniture and classical music. On summer evenings, diners may sit out on the veranda surrounded by tropical gardens, or in winter enjoy the cosiness of roaring log fires indoors.

Another fine dining option is at Burrill Lake – at the Laguna D'Zur International Restaurant. Its fusion cuisine has won several awards and many local fans.
