Mollymook Bay

Mollymook bay, located at the southern end of Mollymook’s beach, close to the golf course, is the place to head to if you want to catch sight of bottlenose dolphins, which often come remarkably close to shore and can be seen enjoying themselves in the surf. Whales can also be spotted during their migration season as they make their way further up the coast to warmer waters, as winter approaches. When they return south in the late spring, you can sometimes see new mother whales with their young. This area is also teeming with fish, making both shore and boat fishing very popular pastimes.

Swimming in the bay is safe and patrolled in the summer season, making it a great choice for families with small children. There are a number of self-catering accommodation options and hotels in this area which afford great views of the bay.
