Burrill Lake

Magnificent Burrill Lake is a coastal lake in a natural setting, surrounded by bushland and forest, enjoying wonderful views towards Pigeon House Mountain. It is located just 5km south of Ulladulla.

Head to Kings Point to access the upper parts of the lake, where the water is deep and tranquil. Here you can find a waterskiing club which offers a club house, picnic area and boat launch ramp. Waterskiing is a popular sport on the lake at weekends and during holiday periods. Other activities to be enjoyed on Burrill Lake include swimming, sailing, windsurfing and prawning (in season). It is also possible to hire boats, canoes and kayaks locally. There are additional picnic and barbeque facilities at Lions Park, just south of the bridge.

One thing worth checking out for a spot of 50s nostalgia is an old open air cinema - one of only a handful left in Australia. It is now closed, but still makes for an interesting visit.

A few kilometres south of Burrill Lake is Tabourie Lake and the Tabourie Museum, which is the place to go to find out more about local history and Aboriginal culture.

There are two excellent tourist parks close to Burrill Lake, as well as a choice of motels and other self catering options.
